In a world full of noise where many seem to scream for attention, UNIFONY chooses to let the music speak (to the heart), but without words. On UNIFONY III Eggersman and Borger invited Moya Brennan (and later Nils Petter Molvaer) to join the musical ‘conversation’ in the world of UNIFONY. Moya joined the musical conversation by singing on her first album without actually using words. The voice of Clannad came over to Theodoor’s studio Klankzicht in the Netherlands to record her beautiful voice and harp, a lifetime wish for Eggersman. Even though they had only met before once, it all felt really natural and just three days later the sketches Eggersman and Borger had created earlier came to life into full blown tracks. Later on (by then the world was hit by the pandemic, hence the delay) Nils Petter Molvaer responded to the conversation by recording his beautiful airy trumpet-sounds in Norway. His clear and jazzy way of playing put Eggersman and Borger’s compositions in a different spotlight and his interpretations and harmonies ensured inspiration for all involved. The result was especially good and eventually inspired Eggersman and Borger to release the album late 2023.
